SAPEPAA Strategy Session (In Person)

In this our first SAPEPAA advanced technical seminar for the year we will be broadcasting from the Melbourne offices of Hansens where there will be a live audience.  Director Michael Jeffriess will be looking at CPD requirements, the Fiji conference, new nominals for SAPEPAA advisers and Board of Guardians accredited SAPEPAA advisers.  Dena Ballantyne- our first ever SAPEPAA Adviser of the year will be taking us through some poor Wills she has come across from the big end of town in Melbourne.  Chair Grant Abbott will then look at the recent decision in Commissioner of Taxation v Bendel [2025] FCAFC 15 regarding UPEs and company distributions and also the potential impact that has on family law and bankruptcy cases.  In addition we will be looking at Guardians - when and where to use them, a case study highlighting a problematic family trust beneficiary issue and how a Guardian overcomes this…
